The Guild Spice Chest radio was produced in two cabinet styles, one with solid doors, the other with louvered doors. They were also available in different types of wood, and with either a plain grill cloth or with a a country scene on the grillcloth. The cases are solid wood, no veneer.

All have a basic five tube ac/dc chassis.
Tubes: 12BE6, 12BA6,12AV6 (or 12AT6), 50C5, 35W4

This is an earlier version, which uses an internal antenna coil mounted on the back panel.

This one needs work, as you can see. The dial pointer has been bent out through the panel, wrong knobs fitted. This radio has A4479 marked inside the case, and the chassis appears to be marked 1956. Uses a ferrite rod internal antenna

This radio is marked A10392, June 1958. Also uses a ferrite rod antenna. Also needs work!
