Dating Dr.Pepper Logos
These logos are from the 1920's on, Dr.Pepper had many interesting designs and slogans before the
1920's, but I do not have any examples yet! The dates may help you to date your bottles.

This logo, and slogan, "Dr.Pepper - Good for Life!" was introduced in 1923. Before that the slogan
was "Dr.Pepper - King of Beverages". This was used up until 1950

The 10-2-4 clock was introduced in 1926 and used in different forms until the 1960s.
It was suggested that these were the times you should drink Dr.Pepper to keep up your
energy level.

This logo, Dr Pepper without a period after "Dr", and level lettering, was introduced in 1950.
The period was dropped because the name looked like DI:Pepper using that style of lettering.
In 1958 the style of the lettering was changed and a "bounce" effect added, the second "p" is
higher than the other letters.
This logo, comprising the words "Dr Pepper" in an oval with a chevron beneath, was used for
a while from 1960. This was used on the Dietetic bottles.
Yet another logo, the words "Dr Pepper" on top of a large "DP" was used for a while around 1963. But
the company seems to have fairly quickly returned to using the bounce lettering logo which had been
introduced in 1958.

This new oval logo was introduced in 1971.
In 1983 the oval design from 1971 was combined with "Dr Pepper" slant lettering. The words Dr Pepper
were under-lined with a straight line.
In 1991 the oval was dropped, leaving just the "Dr Pepper" slant lettering.
Finally the logo above was modified to give the present version.
